Here is a list of major conference, symposium, and workshop proceedings
that are related to, and have papers about, geometry algorithms.
Some are published books with selected papers from a significant
conference. |

The
ACM has a large number of online journals and proceedings. You must
be a subscriber to get access to the full text of papers, but
bibliographic searches are free. Our listing here has a few of the
conferences that concentrate on geometry algorithms; however, other
proceedings may also have some relevant papers. |

Advances in Discrete and Computational Geometry
(1998) |
|
edited by Bernard Chazelle, Jacob Goodman, & Richard Pollack |
|
This
book presents 22 papers from the 1996 AMS-IMS-SIAM Joint Summer Research
Conference on Discrete and Computational Geometry. Topics range from
tiling, polyhedra, and arrangements to computational topology, algebraic
geometry, and geometric discrepancy. |

Applied Computational Geometry : Towards Geometric Engineering
(1996) |
|
edited by Ming Lin & Dinesh Manocha |
|
This
book has 23 selected papers from the First (1996) ACM Workshop on Applied
Computational Geometry. Eleven papers are invited, and include
authors such as Fortune, Guibas, Preparata, Dobkin, Mehlhorn, Chazelle,
and others. The 12 submitted papers were selected out of 32
submissions. There is a wide scope of topics, including: solid
modeling, robustness, visualizing geometric algorithms, the Chazelle CG
Impact Task Force Report, and much more. This book gives an
excellent view of the state-of-the-art circa 1996. |

Discrete and Computational Geometry : Papers from the DIMACS Special Year
(1991) |
|
edited by Jacob Goodman, Richard Pollack, & William Steiger |
|
The
NSF Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science
(DIMACS) sponsored a "special year" during 1989-1990, highlighted by
workshops on geometric complexity, probabilistic methods in discrete and
computational geometry, polytopes and convex sets, arrangements and their
realizations, practical issues in geometric computation, and algebraic
issues. Twenty-three selected papers reflect these themes. The
papers are all theory-oriented with emphasis on the underlying mathematics
rather than algorithm implementation. |

Geometric Modeling : Theory and Practice : The State of the
Art (1997) |
|
edited by Wolfgang Strasser, Reinhard Klein, & Rene Rau |
|
This
is a collection of selected papers from an international conference held
in Germany in 1996, with participants from both academia and industry. It
is organized into sections dealing with: mathematical tools;
representations; requirements for the automotive industry; and
applications like automated assembly. It is a good illustration of
the transition of ideas from theory into real world practice. |
